The site master plan and the entire architectural object should be considered as a whole piece of art - a haiku. You can read it, feel it and become a part of it.
The secluded entrance cites the traditional Japanese Torii gate, which symbolizes the entrance to a special world, marking the beginning of the journey and the transition from one state to another. Next, the Enso ring, a symbol of unity and harmony of all things, is opened up to the view. This ring was created by an artificial reservoir with a solid surface water effect and wooden walkways that form semicircles, embodying the principle of the Japanese philosophy of Seijaku. This principle represents calm and active tranquility, stillness, privacy, and the energy born in peace.
AESTHETIC IMPRESSION
Peace and silence are transformed into movement with the trail appearance that starts in the Enso ring and divides the site asymmetrically. In this context, the principle of Fukinsei (asymmetry or unevenness) plays an important role. The idea of controlled balance in composition by introducing uneven elements and asymmetry is a key aspect of Zen aesthetics. Nature itself abounds with beauty and harmonny, which can be asymmetric but at the same time balanced. The main idea of Fukinsei is to use simple materials and forms, but at the same time, details must be precise and accurate.
This principle is clearly visible in the entire architecture, from the building form to the interior details. The building facades are also interpreted through the prism of this principle, where there is no rigid repetition. Each element, from piers to stained glass windows, has its own unique dimensions, but together they create a unified composition. Also, like in Haiku, the facades can be interpreted differently and each side of the building reveals new aspects.
The building bionic form refers to the symbol of fish, the koi. It is known that koi in Japan is a symbol of courage, strength, and persistence. The house roof represents its scale, which rises and falls under the influence of the house energy. It opens up where the energy demands it.
